Using a network system to monitor functions is not unusual, especially in an IT company. One company took system monitoring a step further and set up a leak monitoring system as a service on their network. This was because the building they had their office in was older with old plumbing and they had a considerable investment in equipment.

Commercial water damage in a Minneapolis IT company could have been worse when a pipe burst in a conference room wall, during an unseasonal overnight cold snap. The sensors monitoring the plumbing caught it and turned off the water, but not before where the pipe burst had drenched the local area.

The baseboard around the bottom of the wall was removed for drying of the wall cavity using our Injecti-Dry method which uses numerous hoses to push warm, dry air into spaces directly.

The large conference room table and chairs were placed on blocks for drying while the air movers and dehumidifiers were running. We do this, so as little disruption as possible is caused during the remediation process.

Our technicians take moisture readings during the drying phase to determine when the room can be classified as dry.
